Creating artwork only using things from the earth was a bit weird to me. In my opinion its definitely outside the box. It was a challenge trying to create something that looked good. I mean I never go outside anyways, i’m always inside. I created something simple with leaves and a stick. First thing I did was create an outline with a stick I found in my front yard. I then took a bunch of leaves and put it over the heart outline. Lastly I took the stick I used for the ouline and placed it over the T. Next day it was gone. Its art that only lasts a tiny bit.
My most successful print was the soft kut lines. Even though I didn't have much time to learn about soft kut techniques I think I did a very good job. The tools used worked just like a pencil for me and I felt very comfortable with it. I didn't enjoy making a monoprint. I didn't like how messy it was, I didn't like that you could only pull one print. It just wasn't my favorite. In my opinion I think the prints I pulled are awful. If I were to make other print in the future I would not chose monoprinting.
